Description

The Larkspur our Made in USA travelpack is the ticket for someone who wants a pack for travelling, that will also double for over-night hiking. This pack will fit perfectly in most overhead bins, on airlines, so you have the comfort of  backpacking your gear onto the plane, and being a frameless pack it is easily stowed and conformed as necessary to the space available. This is the first of several, vintage, Rivendell heritage, mid-range packs we are getting back into production, but this is the best one for travelling. This overnight capacity pack is undivided so packing is more simplified than the Jensen Packs, but like the Jensen Pack is a contoured pack that distributes the load and maintains comfort, without the use of an internal frame. The front loading system, on this Heritage Backpack, provides easy gear access. We have now added an inner pocket/sleeve on the inner side of the front that will easily hold a laptop as well as other important documents

The Larkspur uses the same leather attachment system for the shoulder straps and comes standard with 15 barbells for securing gear to the outside. The body of the pack is made entirely of CORDURA® brand fabric. The back has our exclusive synthetic corduroy for added comfort. There is a tool loop on the left side of the front. One compression strap across the top helps give stability to the load when carrying a partially full pack. Comes standard with a 2″ side release buckle. We are currently only making this in one size so short and very long torsos may not fit the pack properly.

The external Pocket measures 9” x 6” x 3” and has a capacity of 160 cu. in.
